About Amanda
Enthusiastic, kind, and dedicated to my students, I am an experienced and licensed Reading Specialist and English Language Arts instructor, who has been in the education field since 1999. I tailor my lessons to fit the individual needs of my students, and I strive to make lessons engaging, productive and meaningful. I teach elementary, middle, and high school students, I am certified in Orton-Gillingham, and I have a B. A in English Literature, an M. A. T in Teaching English and an Ed. S in Reading.

Amanda tutored my 10 year old son, who struggles with reading and spelling. Each week she arrived with a new lesson that met the needs of my son and ultimately boosted his reading fluency after one year. He is now reading on grade level and is a more confident reader. Amanda is dependable, a great communicator, and always made the tutoring sessions fun and interactive.
