About Amanda

I've always had a passion for caring for people and while I only have 3 years of paid child care experience, I have over a decade of experience providing care for the vulnerable in our community including children of all ages, seniors, and adults with intellectual disabilities. I'm known for my patience, calmness, and friendly nature. I believe in open communication with parents and value their input in how I care for their child. I follow their lead in enforcing household rules and always respect their preferred communication method. I am trained in providing meaningful life enrichment activities and have a B. A. in Social Work. I am CPR and First Aid certified for all ages and have a car for transportation. I am currently transitioning from the professional world to being a full-time mom and am open to caring for a child who is similar age to my own to enhance both of their social opportunities and provide a less expensive childcare opportunity to a family in my community.
