About Amanda

I have 15 years of experience as a part time babysitter, including experience with special needs, food allergies, and large families. I am comfortable with pets including large dogs, and I have a reliable car, as well as a clean driving record. I work as a substitute teacher during the school year and am in school to become a secondary science teacher. Due to my disability, I'm not able to lift children so I'm not able to care for small children. I'm also not able to get up and down off the floor, or do a lot of active play with kids. My best fit would be with older kids who are more independent, so I would say probably a minimum of age 8. Ideally I am looking to assist with transportation needs and outings at this time. I use a wheelchair for more than short distances but am still able to handle outings like going to the pool, zoo, etc.
