In the brief three weeks Amanda was with us, we encountered several reliability and performance concerns. She called in sick twice and missed a third day, stating she had previously notified us, though we had no record of that. When asked about her absence, her response was: “I’m actually out of town this weekend. Sorry I thought I already told you :)” — which we found inappropriate given the circumstances. Three absences in such a short period is concerning. Amanda also appeared somewhat disengaged with our children, citing frequent headaches and foot pain. While she initially agreed to assist with light household chores, she often seemed reluctant or irritated when asked to follow through. Additionally, although her shift was scheduled until 10 p.m., she repeatedly attempted to leave by 9 p.m., often with tasks left incomplete. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we would not recommend Amanda for roles requiring consistency, active engagement, and follow-through.
