I have several years of experience utilizing the Handwriting Without Tears program and incorporate multi-sensory techniques to promote whole brain learning. With several years of experience working with children and a background in Occupational Therapy, I am passionate about finding fun ways to get children engaged and build the necessary skills to feel confident and independent! For local families, I am able to travel to your home. I can also accommodate virtual appointments and can adapt tutoring sessions to materials you already have on hand in your home. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Amanda as a caregiver, nurturer, teacher and friend to children. We were lucky enough to hire her to take care of our three-year-old for a few days a week (and sometimes our 7-year-old) this past year and she quickly became a magical force in our daughter's life and a trusted extension of our family. Amanda is smart, resourceful, patient, loving, easygoing and full of energy. She truly loves connecting with children - and parents too! - and puts a lot of thought and effort into playing and caring for kids at just the right level for their needs. We adore Amanda and would recommend her a million times over.
