About Amanda

As the oldest of seven children with an 18-year difference between myself and the youngest, I helped out with everything, from diaper changes and bath time, to teaching my 3-year-old brother the alphabet and letter sounds. I have babysat for many families and have even done some tutoring. My most recent work experiences have been at the Disney Store where I am able to engage with children on a regular basis and responsibilities have included hosting small in-store events for them such as trivia and story time, I am also a licensed cosmetologist and have worked in a salon. These roles have helped me to be a good listener, communicate well with children, and have good social perceptiveness. I am a critical thinker and active learner. While I don't have formal paid childcare experience, I believe I possess the necessary personal qualities and skills to care for your child.
