In 2015 I graduated from UC with a bachelors degree in special education . I taught k-4th grade special education for 2 years before working as a mental health specialist in a psychiatric inpatient unit for kids with special needs and mental illness/aggression. After that, I worked as a behavior specialist and went in homes and communities developing behavior plans and teaching families how to implement them. I've been around people with significant special needs since I was 11 years old and now as an adult my husband has muscular dystrophy and mg daughter has cerebral palsy, so I have experience from all different angles.
