Hi! I'm Amanda. I love kids, but I specialize in caring for kids with disabilities. I have experience as a private nanny for kids with disabilities, working at a daycare for kids with developmental disabilities, at a therapy camp for kids with cerebral palsy, at a post high school transition program, and at a nursing home working with residents experiencing dementia. I am currently pursuing my masters in occupational therapy at CMU and I have a bachelors in human development and family studies from CSU. My passion is working with autistic kids to support their sensory and communication needs. I find so much joy in planning fun activities and community outings for children. I also love caring for children with cerebral palsy or genetic disorders, and am comfortable with g-tubes, seizure management, transferring, bathrooms, feeding, etc. However, I am still always learning, and willing to be trained if there is something I am not experienced with!
