Hi there! Thank you for checking out my profile. For the past four years I've been working as an independent caregiver to individuals living with ALS. I've always had a caring heart and a desire to help others as much as possible. As a youth being the oldest girl of many cousins and siblings I cared for all of them. Before moving to Texas in 2008 I worked in daycare facilities with infants to age 3. My responsibilities consisted of preparing the littles to transition into head start/pre k, to encourage their creativity and imagination, and to protect them while in my care. I taught them sign language so we could communicate before they were able to speak.

We were very fortunate to have Amanda care for my 92 year old mother from January 2023 till last week, when Mom got her angel wings at last. Mom was wheelchair-bound and needed help with everything. We called Amanda our Angel From Heaven. She is smart, capable, dependable, and most importantly she loves her work. She has truly found her calling. My mother had a better quality of life her last 8 months, even while on hospice for the last 4, because of Amanda's excellent care. She brought so much knowledge, and my mother (who was a nurse in her career) trusted her - and so did I. Amanda supported me too, knowing that my caregiving all the other hours was a lot to handle along with a full time job. She is a consummate professional, while being kind and compassionate. I am happy to speak personally with anyone wanting further confirmation of Amanda's value, skills, dependability and knowledge.
