About Amanda

Over the past 4 years I have learned a lot about infants and young children. After graduating from the GVSU nursing program, I worked in an adolescent psychiatric hospital providing therapeutic care to children suffering from a wide range of mental health conditions. My most recent RN position was as a labor and delivery nurse before I gave birth to my daughter in 2023. Since then I have been working as a lead infant teacher in childcare centers for a better home/work life balance. I pride myself on being patient, creative, and nurturing. My activities of choice with kids are reading and storytelling, crafts, nature walks, imaginative play, and dance parties. I'm comfortable caring for up to three children between the ages of one and 11. I'm also comfortable with pets and have my own car. As for communication with parents, I follow their preferred method, and I always follow their lead when it comes to enforcing household rules.
