About Amanda

I have worked in several different types of childcare. I worked at the ymca for seven years and really enjoyed the variety of different ages that I was able to work with. I have been working in childcare since 2005. It has always been a joy in my life. I have worked in a traditional daycare for many years working as the lead in both nurseries and toddler rooms and I have finally made my way back to teaching pre-K which is my absolute favorite age. I worked at an in-home daycare for two years until the lady that I worked for a retired. It was the greatest experience to see a different form of childcare. It was very different in a home setting and very much like family. After she closed her daycare, I went back to the place that I had worked before which I have been with since 2017. I have worked in several of their classrooms and I have just received a 97/100 from a state evaluation, which was evaluated on both my classroom and my teaching skills.
