About Amanda

I've been a certified nursing assistant for 4 years. I have worked in skilled nursing home with dementia/Alzheimer's patients since I got my license. I have also done a couple home care case one with a stroke victim, one with an independent elder woman who needed help with showers and companionship. I am CPR and BLS certified. Most recent home care an elderly dementia patient. I do housekeeping, bathing, meal prep, cooking. I am physically fit and stronger than I look. I enjoy my career, I enjoy getting to know my patients and helping them the best I can. I got into this career with my mom while I was pregnant because I wanted a better life for my daughter, to be able to provide for her, and once I started I was amazed at how much I truly enjoy my job. I love the fast pace of the nursing home setting, and my residents make the job that much more fun, but I honestly enjoyed my home care cases more. For the simple fact that it's more personal and you can go more at the patients pace.
