I have experience working with individuals with autism ages 7 to 22. I have worked with two higher need individuals with autism, 21 and 22 years old- this included making sure that they took their medicine, baking with them, watching movies and drawing, as well as transporting them to and supervising them at social events (i. e. at amusement parks and weddings, paint nights, etc). As a camp counselor I worked with several low support need boys with autism, providing the attention and help regulating emotions needed. I have also worked with children with Down Syndrome. I am a child study major and hope to go into a career in special education some day. I was previously registered with agency.
