I've never had a animal actual job but owed and takin care of dogs cats fish and pigs that I showed in 4H. I also loved my furry friend which is a Australian cattle dog and a mountain ker mix so he's challenging but loyal and my best friend would say he's my fur baby but I have children so know the difference so always thought that term was silly! If needed to treat yours like one if wanted! Lol Also I've rode horse had a goat as a pet and showed pigs in 4H and had chickens with all responsibilities of each! Including helping castrate my goat and hands on help with a sow giving birth! I'm a boots type of gal and love all life big or small friend or food! I'm eager if not too far from home Ava is Ideal!
