I have accumulated 3 years experience caring for loved ones. I cared for my mother for a year throughout her cancer . I also cared for my stepmother for 6 months during her bout with cancer. I recently cared for a elderly friend of mine that was suffering from leukemia and dementia. I brought him to live in my home and provided 24 hr care. I set him up with nursing help from the VA and a in home physical therapist. I am patient even when dealing with more difficult personalities. I cook very well and am able to provide home cooked meals even for special or sensitive diets. I don't mind house work and running errands. I can take a client to appointments and chemo. I keep a detailed list of all meds and times given for doctors appointments . I can properly give meds but do need prior directions on what to give and times to give them. I am a certified first responder. I want people to feel like I care not just like it's a job. I can assist with mobility and bathing as well.
