About Amanda

Hi Families! My name is Amanda, I recently graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in k-12 Art Education. I love working with children because they are inherently creative and positive. I have completed three internships at local schools throughout my education, as well as a semester of student teaching in a k-8 setting. My previous work experience includes leading a workshop for children at the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts, as well as working for multiple summers as a camp counselor. I am comfortable working with all ages and have babysat up to 12 children at once. In my free time I love spending time outside, taking my goldendoodle Ellie on long walks, and reading!
