I grew up in Hanau, West Germany . My mother was German and my father was American Military . I began baby sitting at the age of 12. I have always been passionate in caring for children and people in general. I learned sign language at the age of 16, a 12 yr old girl who lived next door to me taught me. I was employed for APS in 1990 and I worked with the C and D level students that had special needs. Autism, Down Syndrome, ADD, ADHD, Speech and Hearing impaired, Behavior Disorder and paraplegics. I graduated from Cosmetology School in 1991 and have been doing that for 33 years. I was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2006 and fought for 3 years and finally received a bone marrow transplant. I am extremely knowledgeable in the medical aspect of special needs. I graduated from Apollo College as a pharmacy technician but I was not happy just being behind a computer. I realized I was much happier helping and caring for people.
