About Amanda

Hi there! My name is Amanda and I am currently a graduate student in the Music Therapy program at CSUN, with a Bachelor's degree in jazz piano performance. I have two years of experience working in an assisted living/memory care facility, where my responsibilities included bathing and dressing, leading activities, and providing 1:1 assistance with daily tasks as needed. I have a good understanding and familiarity with the stages of Alzheimer's and dementia, including recognition that every individual will have unique and evolving needs. I love to play and sing music with those I care for, which I have seen be a powerful tool with older adults! I make the commitment to you that I am a trustworthy, patient, and compassionate caregiver who has valued every adult I have cared for, and I would be honored to care for your loved one as well.
