Amanda was our daughter's primary caregiver for three wonderful years, from when H. was just 6 months old until she was 3 and a half. Throughout this time, Amanda demonstrated exceptional care, ensuring H. was always safe, well-fed, and loved. Her support extended far beyond basic caregiving; she was incredibly attentive to H.'s emotional and mental well-being, always checking in with her and communicating with her as an equal, rather than as an authority figure. Amanda had a remarkable ability to spark H.'s creativity, engaging her in countless arts and crafts projects, playing music for her to sing and dance to, and coming up with her own stories to tell us later at bedtime. Amanda's dedication to H.'s development was evident in their weekly trips to the library and regular outings around the city. Whether it was exploring Maymont Park, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the Children's Museum, the Science Museum, or various local parks, Amanda made every outing an adventure. Her passion for enriching H.'s experiences was truly remarkable. She even taught H. some sign language that she still uses today. Moreover, Amanda was always receptive to our parenting styles, seamlessly integrating our preferences into her care, from the food that H. ate, to the way she handled the occasional meltdown or tantrum that all kids experience. Her flexibility and understanding were invaluable, and we felt completely at ease knowing H. was in such capable hands. In short, Amanda is an exceptional caregiver who goes above and beyond. She has been an integral part of H.'s early years, fostering her growth, creativity, and happiness.
