About Amanda

Warm Greetings, Families! My name is Friedel and for the last 30 years I have been a direct care service provider for both private families and within different institutional settings. I've worked with every age group and developmental stage from birth to death, and I love cultivating sustainable systems that provide ease, nurturing support and gentle order to help navigate the day to day and seasonal complexities of creating a healthy and loving family environment. I'd describe my personality as compassionate, creative and grounded. In my spare time, I like to cook for my intentional living community, read science fiction and social theory, make art, meditate, watch films, attend dance performances & concerts, and go for long walks regardless of the weather. One thing you should know about me is that my approach to care giving is rooted at the intersection of Buddhist compassion principles/practices and trauma informed psychology.
