About Amanda

Hello! I am a mom of two (3 & 1) interested in caring for additional children. "It takes a village" and I'm looking to help grow the village of another family. I have a BS in Special Education and have since worked as an educator in a wide variety of classrooms and grades. I have provided respite care for a family with 8 children (ages 1-15 including 1-year-old twins and an 8-year-old with ASD), tutored a wide range of students age 5-15, and nannied over 5 families where I developed individualized STEM programs, tutor programs, and behavior plans as needed. I love being active and outdoors as much as possible. I believe in minimal screen time and encourage independent creativity. I feel very confident in caring for all ages and ability levels and enjoy doing so. Some of my favorite hobbies are hiking, camping, playing sports (especially volleyball, soccer and Frisbee), playing piano, reading, and painting.
