About Amanda

I have been fortunate in taking care of my twin cousins during my visits to Houston for 8 years and while was a Senior in high school and breaks in College, I also was hired as a babysitter for 2 elementary school sisters. I not only provided activities for them to do but I also transported them to their classes, parties, doctor's appointments and other scheduled activities. During the time I spent with them, I also prepared their meals and cleaned up after them. I enjoyed providing them with stimulating activities and aiding in their schoolwork. My freshman year in college I was given the opportunity to teach gymnastics to school aged children with different skill levels. I was able to communicate successfully with the children and parents. During this time, I also became an intern with the YWCA and provided underprivileged middle schoolgirls with skills to make them more self-confident and skills to stop bullying behavior.
