About Amanda

Hi! I'm Amanda! I am passionate about working with people and would love to care for your loved one. I started hospice volunteering this last year and feel so privileged to be given the care of vulnerable, cherished loved ones. I find care of others to be incredibly rewarding work and am horrified at the lack of quality care that so many of our elderly loved ones receive in the final years of their lives. I endeavor to treat every person the way I would want myself or one of my loved ones to be treated. I have a year of experience caring for elderly developmentally disabled adults, including toileting, dressing, housework, meal prep, companionship, etc. I am a journey to complete my BSN. I will finish training as a CNA/HHA as of April, and I hope eventually to go into Healthcare as a hospice nurse, or a geriatric nurse. In my spare time, I devour books, I go on walks, I make art, I love having conversations with friends, playing chess, sewing, and journaling.
