About Amanda

I love engaging with babies, toddlers, and children, and have a lot of experience providing fun and educational experiences for kids. I am learning ASL and would be happy to bring your child on my ASL journey! I'm also very experienced with children who have disabilities, both high-incidence and low-incidence. I'm a mom to two teenage boys and I'm in my 10th year as a university professor instructing and supporting future teachers. I taught early childhood, elementary, and special education for 10+ years. I'm an expert in early childhood development, developmental progressions, social/emotional learning, and early literacy. My focus will be on your child's happiness and joy, followed by social and emotional development. I believe that children should be engaged in play, imagination, arts, nature, and music. I'm happy to focus on any area of development you choose as well. I will ensure your child feels safe and secure while I am caring for them. I'm very calm and responsive.
