About Amanda

I am a Certified Elementary Education Teacher specializing in Reading and Language Arts. I hold a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from UT Austin and a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Texas State University. My experience includes 9 years as a 5th grade classroom teacher in Leander ISD and 3 years teaching Reading and English to 7th grade students in San Marcos CISD. I left teaching to raise my two daughters who both graduated from Round Rock ISD and are now attending college. I specialize in helping students with their reading and writing skills. One-on-one instruction is the best way to bring a child up to grade level and even beyond. I love working with students, both individually and in small groups. I am able to instruct, guide, enrich, and encourage students. As a tutor, my goal is to help students gain confidence, understand and complete assignments, and enjoy their learning experience.
