This summer I have had the amazing opportunity to work a range of both children and adults with special needs. Throughout the summer I have gained a lot of experience from interacting with these incredible and unique individuals. My experience includes a variety of transfers, assisting with bathroom and bathing, minimal sign language (but I am still learning), providing companionship, and much more. I am furthering my education in hopes to become a certified occupational therapy assistant and continue to help children with special needs.
