Hi, my name is Amanda, and I'm currently a third-term nursing student. I grew up in Blair, WI, and graduated from Blair-Taylor High School in 1997. I've been caring for the elderly since I was 16, starting at Grandview Care Center, where I worked for many years before moving to St. Louis. While my CNA certification has lapsed, my passion for elder care, particularly specializing in dementia and Alzheimer's care, has only grown over time. I now provide part-time care for two clients in the La Crosse area while continuing my nursing studies. My goal is to pursue a career in traveling hospice care after graduation. I believe caring for the elderly is truly my calling-it brings me joy and fulfillment to support people during such important times in their lives. Hospice, in particular, allows me to bring peace and comfort to both patients and their families, and I'm excited to continue following this path.
