About Alyss

Hello! It's nice to meet you. My name is Alyss and I have been working with children in some capacity since before I could drive. I started babysitting at the age of 13, and spent my college years as a nanny for the most wonderful family. After college, I entered the classroom as a 1st grade and then 5th grade teacher. I loved my job, but took a step back when my son was born. Instead of returning to the classical classroom, I managed an arts teaching program at a local museum, and then started my own photography business where I also teach others how to successfully run their own businesses. As a prior teacher, artist, and now as a business owner, I feel I come well-equipped to return to teaching a younger audience in all that I'm qualified to teach: life skills, college/life prep, language arts (to include literacy, creative writing, essay writing, proofreading, etc), and all general ed subjects.
