I work at a day program and boarding private school for individuals with autism spectrum disorder aged 8-28. I am an education assistant and a 1:1 aide. I assist my student (if residential) with ADLs, assist during meals, support and work directly with the teacher and student through the entire school day in completing work, supporting sensory needs, assisting with any limitations student may have. I work closely with SLPs, OTs and PTs to assist and support student during therapy sessions.
