My mother was an occupational therapist growing up, through whom I learned basics of caring for those with specific needs. I've worked three summers at a summer camp as a direct care provider. Additionally, I have babysat for various clients with specific needs, and provided direct care services to adolescents and adults. I have also spent three summers as a cabin head at a camp working with children 8-18 with cognitive and/or physical disabilities, as well as adults. I continue to volunteer my time to these camps through retreats throughout the year.
