Hello, My name is Alyssa and I love caring for children! Growing up, I knew I wanted to work with children. In high-school I had the opportunity to participate in Early Childhood Laboratory Independent Study. I was able to work hands on with preschoolers and create lesson plans to teach to them. Kids are simply my favorite to be around, never a dull moment. I joined Care. Com to start babysitting and eventually began to work for some daycares as a teacher assistant. I have a total of 5 years of experience, with ages ranging from newborns-12 years old. I enjoy arts and crafts, reading, dancing and creative play. I believe it's important to provide children with a fun, fulfilling and enriched environment. I am currently in college to become a pediatric nurse! Alyssa has been such a tremendous help to my family these past few years taking care of my children, especially my middle one who has many complicated needs. My child has Autism, is nonverbal and requires medication several times a day for seizures. He also needs assistance with his personal hygiene including dressing and toileting skills, and requires constant supervision. She has taken such responsibilities with such patience and enthusiasm. She is kind, personable and always open to learning new skills regarding my child's needs while continuing her nursing education. In addition, she is comfortable with large dogs as we have recently added one to our family.
