I have worked in a school ILS/Autism department for 2 years now and worked with kids for 3 years at a child care facility working specifically with kids that have intellectual and developmental disabilities but have also worked with kids in other fields for many years before both of these. At the daycare I was certified in multiple trainings such as shaken baby syndrome, SIDS, playground safety, children abuse and neglect and how to administer medicine and or G-Tube feedings to children. I have a ton of experience with behavioral challenges and children with complex health needs. I also have watched multiple children without health and behavioral needs! At the daycare I worked with children 6 weeks old to teens. I prepared bottles and purées, put babies down for naps, played a whole lot and learned so much about working with babies and young children. I love children and I'm planning a career in special education!
