About Alyssa

My name is Alyssa, and I'm a current medical student at Rush Medical College! I am very well versed in mathematics, science, and physics; however, I also remember the days when I found these topics incredibly challenging and thought that I would never feel comfortable with them. English reading/writing was always my strongest subject, but when I decided I wanted to become a doctor, I realized that I needed to figure out a way of mastering my math and science courses. These subjects did not come naturally to me, but after lots of hard work throughout high school and college, I found simple ways of understanding these topics and soon began tutoring my peers. As a very goal-oriented individual, I enjoy helping students set, meet, and exceed their goals which leads to increased confidence and motivation!
