My name is Alyssa and I am a special education teacher looking for a part time gig. I am currently a center based special education teacher for students with DCD, ASD, TBI and OHD. I have many years of experience and am comfortable with a wide variety of needs including; seizures, g-tubes, CP, MD, colostomy bags, ODD, ADHD, sensory processing disorders, significant mental health needs and more. Prior to becoming a teacher I was a lifeguard and swim instructor, nanny and assistant preschool teacher. I have worked with kids from newborn-teenagers as well as adults with disabilities. I enjoy being active outdoors, crafts, music and dance. I am passionate about helping kids reach their greatest potential, exploring their interests and integrating sensory exploration and curiosity into everyday experiences. I am flexible, organized, and willing to help in anyway I can including light house work, meal preparation, transportation and caring for animals. Please reach out with any questions!
