About Alyssa

My name is Alyssa F. Currently I am in my second year at SDSU, pursuing a degree in education. My academic journey has been enriched by a series of child development courses, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of the best practices in supporting children of all ages. My journey in childcare began at the age of 14 when I discovered my love for working with children while babysitting for families in my community. Since then, I have accumulated valuable experience caring for children of all ages, fostering a nurturing and supportive environment. For the past few years, I have worked as a figure skating coach at the San Diego Ice Arena, where I work with children aged 2-16. My role involves not only coaching but also instilling confidence and encouraging teamwork among my students. During summers, I have also served as a camp counselor, where I enthusiastically engage children in a variety of activities, fostering creativity and a sense of camaraderie among campers.
