I've previously worked for three summers at a summer camp as a canoeing instructor and twice as a full-time counselor giving 24-hour care to 7-9-year-olds. I have been nannying since 2014, both for short term and long term positions. I love working with children and I am quite flexible to whatever the family needs. Alyssa was our first experience having a nanny, and she set the bar high. She cared for our three boys, three and under, for two years. She organized play dates, sports programs, crafting activities and helped keep our household in order. We appreciated her professionalism and quarterly check-ins where we would debrief on behavioral challenges and opportunities. Outside of the typical nanny responsibilities, she would also take the boys to PT and speech & feeding therapies. She would work with the children on the needed exercises to help them thrive and educate us. During Alyssa's time with our family, our son was in the NICU for 60 days. Her empathy and willingness to spend extra hours with the children helped us be with him as often as possible. At times, she would even go and visit his bedside. Given the nature of our household, communication was essential. She introduced a nanny app that helped us stay connected and made transitions efficient and smooth.
