Hello, My name is Alyssa! I have been working with kids since I was 16 years old, staring out in the 2-year-old room at my church. As I got older I started babysitting, and when I got to college I started nagging for families. I am now the Assistant teacher in the Pre-K classroom at the YMCA in downtown Bellingham, I am responsible for ensuring the safety and well being of 20 little darlings everyday! I love working with kids because of their sheer sense of wonder and inquisitiveness, plus they're just so darn cute! I love the moment you have been having a conversation with a child and all of a sudden you see their face light up, and then they need to know everything you know about that subject because it is just SO interesting to them all of a sudden, it is truly a magical moment. I am an animal lover, avid gardener, who loves to experience nature! I ski in the winter, hike in summer/spring/fall, rock climb whenever I can, and I love to experience new adventures!
