About Alyssa

I grew up as the oldest sibling to 4 much younger siblings, so I fell into a caregiving position naturally at a young age. I have since been babysitting and nannying as a job for 15 years. I graduated from Michigan State with a BS in Child Development and spent 3 years teaching in a Child Development Center as a lead teacher in a 4-year-old classroom as well as an infant classroom. I have held several long term care positions, working with infants alongside their family as they progress through to Kindergarten age. While I have nannied for many 1 and 2-child families, I have also been a part of a nanny share, supporting two families full time with 4 children total. I am very comfortable with infants and toddlers, caring for multiple children together, and older children as well. I see myself in a supporting role to the exploration and development of children as they learn about the world around them and seek new information, new experiences, and loving care.
