About Alyssa

My name is Alyssa and I am a sophomore at Florida State University majoring in Nursing. Most recently working in a pediatric care center and babysitting for friends and families. Not to mention, volunteering at Broward's Children's Center and Joe Dimaggio's Children's Hospital! I am a Certified Nursing Assistant and have worked at Rainbow Kids Pediatric Care Center. Here I daily took care of over 10+ medically fragile children. Working with these children truly taught me patience and kindness when it came to working with someone who may not understand their limitations. I was able to care and play with them, as well as assist in their daily needs. My main goal was to help create a sense of comfort while being somewhere other than home. The safety aspect needs to stand out when families are trusting you with their children, allowing you to drive them places and watch them as the sole supervisor. Compassion is also a necessity, children should feel like you want to be there!
