Alyssa has been our nanny for nearly four years now. She was coming from another nanny position where the family she worked for moved out of the Rochester area. After conversations with them and our meeting with her (and her with our children) we offered her the position. She has been a life-saver for our family. I can't find enough words to express what she has meant to us. Over the years our two children have come to see her as another member of our family. We saw the birth of her own son, N, who my kids think of as their own sibling. She took both our kids to school and activities, picked them up, connected them with other friends through her network of friends and nanny contacts. She has also been available to stop by and check on the house and our cat when we've been away on vacation, etc. My children will miss her and N terribly when Fall arrives and they both are finally in school; it will be like losing a family member.
