About Alyssa

Hi! My name is Alyssa. I'm a one-to-one tutor with over 11 years of experience in education. I have taught grades 1-4 at private schools. I will create personalized interactive lessons, communicate with parents and teachers, and give optional homework if requested. I look forward to partnering with you! I'd describe my personality as fun, organized, and creative. I like tutoring because I enjoy meeting students where they are at and creating plans for them. I love to have a front row seat to their growth and create meaningful relationships. I'm looking for a job that will be a long lasting relationship and will utilize my love of teaching children. In my spare time, I like to read, go on walks, and explore new places. One thing you should know about me is I'm a new mom! My skills include combining fun and learning, teaching reading and math, and instilling a love of learning.
