About Alyssa

I'd describe my personality as patient, understanding, and easy going I like working with kids because it is fulfilling to help them gain new skills and it helps me to continue to be imaginative when navigating life. I started working with kids back in high school on and off for my mom's friends. I formally worked with kids the first summer of college as an administrative assistant at a summer camp. I helped with the registration process but majority of the time I worked alongside the kids with their daily projects. I was in charge of their snacks and lunch breaks and handling any safety concerns that came up. At the summer camp it was middle school age kids but if a younger child had good motor skills they could start as soon as 3rd grade. In my spare time, I like to create art in mediums such as illustrations and collage. I am an avid reader to help me relax. Sometimes I will meet up with my family and go on hikes, the beach, or a local park to get some fresh air.
