I began my career working in community based residences and vocational settings funded by the Developmental Disabilities Administration. Initially, I worked with individuals who transitioned from Maryland Institutions (ICFMR). I have 9 years of hands on experience assisting people with activities of daily living, including certifying as a Med Tech, performing lifts, toileting; delegated nursing functions as colostomy and catheter care, g-tube feeding, wound care and diabetes management. I need to update medication technician training, CPR and First Aid. I am experienced in accessing and developing resources for adults, children and families affected by special needs. These can include community supports, benefits, entitlements, self-direction, budgeting, schedule management, accessing recreation, education, training, volunteer and employment opportunities. I can provide a copy of my clean criminal background conducted via BCPD 11/2017.

Alyce applied for the position I posted for a cat sitter while my husband and I were on vacation. She seemed professional though message (reasonable rate, offered to interview, and even asked for emergency phone numbers). She agreed she could watch our cat a week before we were to leave and we were happy. A few days before we were to leave, we agreed to meet to go over things and give her the key. Two minutes before we were to meet she sent a message through care.com saying the commute was too long for her to drive. I completely understand the drive being too far however, before applying for a job she should have made sure it wasn't too far of a drive. Also, this should have been looked into before we were suppose to meet. If she would have looked into this first and not have applied, we would have had someone lined up and not another thing to do last minute before leaving. I don't believe our family would attempt to use her again.
