About Allyson

I'm a calm but fun caretaker with over 4 years of professional childcare experience in the education departments at several local organizations such as the Santa Barbara Zoo and currently the SB Museum of Natural History. My belief is that kids thrive best in environments where they feel seen and comfortable. This especially goes for kids with Autism spectrum disorder or other neurodivergence. While my professional expertise is kids aged 4-13, I have volunteer and personal experience with infants and toddlers as well. My formal education includes a graduate degree, and I am infant and child First Aid/CPR certified. I'm also willing to help with cooking, meal preparation, carpooling, and light housekeeping. As a bonus, as a museum employee I have free admission to every museum in Santa Barbara! I love getting kids outside and connected to nature!
