About Ally

Hi, my name is Ally, I am 22 years old, and a full-time student attending Cabrillo College and I am a full-time employee at the Dream Inn on the Boardwalk of Santa Cruz. I recently relocated from Truckee/Tahoe to Santa Cruz. I am originally from Reno where I started as a mother's helper when I was barely 10 years old, since then I have been babysitting and caring for children of all ages (references available). I can cook, clean, run errands, or whatever the task is. My availability is very limited. What I would like to do is look for a family that I could nanny for or babysit for (more often than not)-- and eventually change my availability at the Dream Inn so I would have more time to babysit. The reason I would like to babysit more is because while the food and beverage industry is very fun and rewarding, working with babies and children is much more fun and much more rewarding. Also, I didn't work with kids over the summer to focus on school and my other job but I miss it a lot. More about me: I am very outdoorsy; hiking, biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, etc. Mostly fresh water activities but I will be exploring the ocean very soon! I also played volleyball for 7+ years. I have a very deep passion for art - painting, watercolor, graphic design, photography, sculpture, etc. I have been studying Graphic Design along with Marketing and Advertising but recently I have found a love and curiosity for Philosophy which has ultimately led me to rethink my major to Pre-Law. I love all animals. I have a dog myself and used to foster and rehabilitate pit bulls. I did that for about 3 years. I also enjoy being in the kitchen and learning new recipes and ways to cook.
