I'd describe my personality as empathetic, creative, and extremely patient. I like working with kids because I am able to help them evolve into kind and independent humans! I'm looking for a job that offers flexibility doing what I love - helping others; and that offers a positive work environment. I started working with kids when I was 17 years old. I began by teaching dance and most recently was as a special education teacher for a group of elementary children with autism for MDCPS. In my spare time, I like to practice yoga and cook. One thing you should know about me is I am patient and kind with children. My #1 priority is teaching children to express their concerns, needs, and feelings. Allison was an amazing babysitter for our 10-year-old son while my husband and I went out for our anniversary. From the start, she was kind, communicative, and incredibly reliable—responding promptly to messages and always arriving on time. What really stood out was how she took the extra step to get to know our son. She asked about his interests ahead of time and, when she learned he likes baking, she messaged on her way over to ask what dessert he might like to make. She even stopped to pick up brownie mix so they could bake together! Beyond that, she spent the evening drawing, playing video games, watching TV, and fully engaging in whatever activities our son wanted. When we got home, he couldn’t stop talking about how much fun he had with Allison. We will absolutely be reaching out to her again in the future! Highly recommend!
