I have worked for over 5 years in the special needs field. I had the privilege of being taught by parents while working with their children and also worked alongside my husband with individuals that had behavioral, ADHD, mental and delayed disorders. I have also cared for an 8-year-old and 15-year-old with autism. I also had a foster child with many mental issues. It is such a rewarding experience to be able to help someone overcome a challenge and to see the joy on their faces when they realize that anything is possible.
