Hi Parents, my name is Allison. I've recently relocated to Bellingham, WA from Bozeman, MT. I work at Squalicum High School as an AmeriCorps member where I provide students college access. I graduated from Montana State last December with a degree in sociology and criminal justice. During college I worked with Big Sky Youth Empowerment, where I helped "at-risk" teens connect with the community through the outdoors. I love helping people and am currently obtaining experience before applying for a masters in social work next year. I enjoy hiking, skiing, and camping and am very excited by all Bellingham area has to offer. I am available to work as a English tutor or a life coaching position. I work in an after school program every day where I help high schooled with their homework needs from varying subjects. I am available after 4:30 during the weekdays and all day on the weekend. Allison is AMAZING. We've had several nannies over the years and Allison raised the bar on what we even knew was possible to expect. She quickly formed great relationships with our kids and always went the extra mile to learn more about them and what was happening in their lives. With our older kids (middle elementary) she found the perfect balance of taking care of them while also promoting independence/autonomy in their homework/chores etc. They LOVED her. For our younger son, 4 year old C, she created wonderful experiences every day for the two of them which they dubbed "C" time. We'd come home and learn about density experiments, "spy" nature walks, and other activities that made our son beam with pride and excitement. Allison also easily managed any additional favors we asked of her and made it all seem easy. If you have a chance to hire her, do it right away!
