About Allison

I do not have any experience as a nurse or other professional. I do have patience, compassion and knowledge. For the past 13 years I have been my ex husband's care giver in my home. He was in a motorcycle accident leaving him partially immobile. Since then, he has experienced kidney failure, limited sight and partial amputations due to diabetes and has suffered 3 strokes. I have provided transportation, meals, wound care and also helped with his mobility and incontinence. He is now in a rehabilitation facility after another amputation. I am his advocate there. I also helped take care of his father who had Alzheimer's. It was difficult for everyone in the household but I think my mother-in-law's inability to come to terms with it was the most impactful. Currently, I provide part time assistance to 2 lovely ladies in their 70's.
