About Alissa

I have five years of experience working with kids and can easily say it's something I love doing. I've worked in day care settings, home care settings, and school settings. I have my bachelor's in Speech Pathology and hope to go back to school for my graduate degree to practice as a licensed Speech Therapist or to become a licensed Special Educator. Currently, I work full time in a play-based ABA clinic with children on the autism spectrum and have experience working with kiddos in preschool to 5th grade on all levels of the spectrum. I'm a big fan of play-based and child-led activities, especially anything that involves learning through the senses or working on social-emotional learning. I love to be outdoors and I love learning about the environment as well as being out in the community, like planting trees or going to the library.
